Mitel’s acquisition of Toshiba in 2017 (and its subsequent acquisition of ShoreTel) have shaken things up for businesses with phone systems for all 3 of those vendors. But Copper State Communications is here for you during these shake-ups, and we want to let you know that the latest series of Toshiba products going end-of-life (EoL) doesn’t have to spark panic.
Mitel has seen a significant number of heritage Toshiba channels transitioning to other Mitel product lines, and as a result, Mitel has seen a decrease in sales of the legacy Toshiba portfolio. The company has also witnessed a continued shift to cloud based services within the small and medium-sized business segment that has resulted in a decision to announce the lifecycle plans for the heritage Toshiba portfolio.
Some of Mitel’s products have been going EoL for a while after the company’s acquisitions, but the most relevant ones for Copper State Communications’ customers today are the ones going EoL in 2019 and 2021.
